I have purchase turboCad16 Pro (not from you)a couple of month ago with sole purpose of designing closets, home office, and kitchen cabinets and countertops.I also purchase Furniture maker from Spinar software but it has absolutly no training(at least no in english ). Since we have not much experience with CAD, we find it difficult to get started with Turbocad. We also bought it because it was fairly inexpensive. I was watching some video on your web site this afternoon and was wandering 1) if you have any training for kitchen design oe 2) Would you recomend something else.
Thank you

I am running TurboCAD Pro ver 16.2, build 54. I am going through the 2D and 3D training guides and have benn unable to get the ortho snap to work in either. I am currently stuck on Session 4 of the 3D course and cannot dimension a length. (I got all the others.) The snap does not seem to work. I was able to work around it in the 2D course but cannot get it to work in 3D. It would be helpful if there were troubleshooting sections for this sort of thing in the user guide. Any ideas?

TurboCAD is good for custom cabinetry but you will need to learn to use the program. I suggest purchasing our woodworking training material which contains videos of creating a cabinet in 3D and applying wood textures.
I know very little about the Furniture Maker add-on  - sorry.
Envisioneer also has a cabinet feature that allows for tweaking the sizes of standard cabinets. Most likely restrictive for custom work but very nice for a combo of architectural and cabinets. Try a free trial version. http://www.cadsoft.com/affiliates/forms/cadcourse.php

@Doric Caron - it should work – might be related to workplanes – try to contact me during the day and I could bring you into an online meeting and I will be able to quickly see what is going on.

I am about halfway through the TurboCAD 3D training Guide and am having a problem with dimensioning (more specifically, UCS and workplanes.) At the end of a lesson when completing the practical my UCS no longer matches the WCS and the dimensions are upside down, backward, not visible, etc.... How can I reset the UCS to match the WCS?
Thank you

@D Hogan -- the TurboCAD 3-D training guide isn't a CADCourse designed product but I could try to help you in an online meeting in our CADCourse training center. Please call 877-827-8776 to schedule a time.

Is there any way in v16 Pro to render by facet? In other words for example I have drawn a 3d box and I want to render each facet or side of the box to appear as a different color or texture, can I do it? I sure hope it's possible. Thanks for any help you can provide.

@Dan - yes there is a way to assign materials to each facet -- you need to be in the facet editor selection mode and then to select the facet and then double-click the material in the materials palette -- when you render the object it will show the facet in that particular material -- be careful however because you will usually have to use the facet editor to render the entire object going forward.
